DECISIONS, DECISIONS....

I guess I am having to face some home truths -
Baby Girk's Braces Account has come in - even before any work is started.
They will not proceed without a deposit of $3000.
Also we purchased a vanity and side cabinets for our "still to be finished upstairs bathroom" today - "Renovators Depot" was having a sale - and we have been putting off this purchase for some time now hoping a sale day would come along, and finally it did, saving us about $300 on the total cost.
We are back looking at alternative modes of transport for me - I am sick of the cost of petrol...
My car is 15 years old and in need of some repair work - it goes well and really we have had no problems with it since we got it two years ago, but IT IS 15 years old and it can only be a matter of time...
So we are exploring our options with extra small shitboxes that run on the smell of an oily rag and look like they are made from aluminium foil and blue tac...
We have already made an appointment with the bank mananger...
this undoubtedly means getting work..
and making it fit with the Cottage..

good luck with that. And well done with the reno savings. GG's braces cost us about $6500 all up, but they only wanted $1200 deposit; your guy seems a bit steep, as well as evil. I think I might encourage my kids into orthodontics.... But they are nice kids.....

My Bathroom is almost done: I will blog/brag as soon as it is:
a) finished...
b) I can afford batteries for the camera.....

I have one of those cars made out of aluminium foil and blu tac, and the cost is still crippling! Maybe we should just give up on living in the real world, get all of the gals from the Cottage together, pool our money, and buy a nice big block of land where we could farm our own crops and raise sheep and cows.

What do you say?? :)

I am certainly in that.....my hubby has said that for years in fact..nothing would please him more that growing his own veges and living a frugal life. would that make us some sort of cult then????I am sure the outside world would think of us in that way...we would be like the quakers of nsw..sounds do-able....
