Mums new home

Some views of the nursing home.
One is of the outside courtyard area. The other is the view of the dining room and of mum's room.
Today is the first day that I will not be seeing mum in such a long time.
I will give it a few days before I call - best leave her to adjust without further trauma.

it looks nice as far as those places go- very clean and roomy- do they take care of things like washing ( clothes) etc of do you need to go pick that up.......

I'm sure your Mum will enjoy looking out on the courtyard from her window and will feel much better with Polish staff and other Polish people to talk to every day. I understand the difficulty with not being able to visit as often but it is still a day trip and will allow you to get a bit of balance back in your life.

All washing done in house - no private articles such as doona, blankets etc allowed ( as they may get lost ) clothes will need to be chnaged or updated as seasons and needs change..other than that, if mum needs to go to a specialist the family has to make the appointment and take her ( they can arrange for it to be done but it costs $200 for an agency to do it ) and so the costs of care begin....w.w.
