Another bargearse Mary joins the ranks!

Yes ladies! I am, as you say you are, watching my backside getting wider and saggier as each day passes.
Ooohh ahhh!!
How does this happen?
Maybe it's because I haven't exercised since January.
Maybe it's my propensity (big word) for eating chocolate.
All I know is that by June they will be doing a story on me on "Medical Miracles".It will be called, "The Woman whose arse would not stop growing".
Two food jokes for you...

Wife: The two things I cook best are meatloaf and apple pie.
Husband:And which one is this?

A man ordered a takeaway pizza. The waiter said:"Shall I cut it into six pieces or twelve?"
"Six pieces", said the man.
"I could never eat twelve".

and so it continues....

Three wise men arrived to visit the child lying in the manger. One of the wise men was exceptionally tall and bumped his head on the low door way as he entered the stable.
"Jesus Christ!" he exclaimed.
Joseph said: "Write that down Mary. It's better than Wayne".

Ha!Ha!
Can you tell I got a new joke book!

Joke of the Day!

Jesus and Satan were having an arguement about who was better on the computer.
They had been niggling at each other for days when God decided to step in and finish the bickering between the two.
"I am going to set you both a test and I will be the Judge" said God.
So Jesus and Satan set about a two hour test with spread sheets,reports,e-mails, downloads, every test that God could think of to see who was better on the computer!
Ten minutes before they were due to finish, a lightening bolt flashed across the sky and the electricity went off.
Satan stared at his blank screen and went off his nut, screaming every obscenity he could think of.
Jesus simply sighed.
Eventually the electricity came back on.
Jesus and Satan both restarted their computers.
Satan began frantically searching for his work.
"It's gone! It's all gone" he screamed.
"I lost everything when the power went out".
Meanwhile Jesus quietly went about printing out his files from the past two hours.
Seeing this Satan became furious.
"Jesus cheated" said Satan.
"How did he do that?" he said.
God shrugged and simply said "Jesus saves".

New Book!

I am currently reading "The Gift" by Mia Dolan a psychic from England.
It is very interesting and I have gotten to the part where she has just come to terms with having a "guide called Eric - and she is trying out her abilities.
Mia had a horrendous life, having gone through so much at such a young age.
She talks to Eric about whether there is a God and why is there so much misery on Earth if, in fact, there is a God.
The answer she receives is that we are all here to experience the full gamut of emotions so that our soul can fully grow, when we die, we get to judge our performance in this lifetime and to chose what our next level of advancement should be. So, I guess, the more we suffer in our lifetime, the more nearer the end of our soul's journey we are.

Eric says, " If you had a child who was very sick and a doctor told you that if he could take your child for a year and return that chld to you cured, but that during that year your child would have to suffer, would you give your child to the doctor?
Mia answers, "Of course, I would - if I knew that after the year, my child would be totally cured".
Eric says, "and so YOU come down to Earth".

Eric says to Mia that new souls are fragile and cannot handle the tough situations so their lives seem to be a breeze with little hardship, while those who have experienced much in past lives, seem to have the bar raised to extreme proportions, so that they may learn the final lessons in empathy and gratitude.
What happens after that?
I don't know, haven't got that far in the book yet.
But it makes sense to me - I have always said that those who have an easy life don't ever seem to have a need for spirituality, but those who have had a tortured life turn to spirituality. Look at all of us Marys?
We have all had our fair share of "shit" to deal with...HAVEN'T WE.
WE ARE THE ONES THAT ASK THE QUESTIONS, WE ARE THE ONES WHO STRUGGLE TO FIND THE ANSWERS.

So why DOES everything always happen at once?

Why is it that everything seems to always happen at once?
Why can't things be better organised so that they happen bit by bit, instead of a mass of crap all at once ....then random moments of reprieve.

Mother's stitches are just not healing and that's a worry in an elderly person.
We have a community nurse comming over and dressing her wound for the next few days as it is just too much for either my brother or I to keep handling.

The man is O.K. Tired today. He came home around midday and will spend the next few days taking it easy.

I took little miss to Jesmond this afternoon to get some clothes for the Great Aussie Bush Camp which she is going to next week.
Does every piece of clothing really have to be black?
I guess so.

I am doing my last day at the book sale at Greenhills tomorrow.

I have no idea how people who work full time manage their lives....
I am totally incompetent at keeping a tidy house and some semblance of organisation flowing with what little work I occassionally get.
Everything seems so fractured.
I tip my hat to all those hard working women who seem to fit in 8 hours of work, outside the home, as well as keeping to household running. You are all miracle workers.
Have a good weekend.

Not Again!!!!!!

The man is in hospital again!!!!!
The water works started to seize up and so it was time to get a "re - bore" as he called it!
So he called his doctor, and as he was in surgery, the nurse said that she would call back.
When she did, she told him that his doctor was going on holidays (yet again) so he would be seen at the hospital today.....for an operation.
I guess that the doc felt that he was already dressed for the occassion, what would another 20 minutes in theatre cost him?
Mmmmmm......
Again, we didn't even get a chance to contemplate going to the John.
So it was off to Lake Macquarie Private, and by 2pm today he was checked in and waiting to go.

Well, all went well and his recovery starts again.
Again the catheter, again a bag, again discomfort.

Oh, by the way, my big premonition about winning money came true today.
$20 on Oz lotto!!!!!
Whooppee...........
Well....Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!!

I am praying tonight that this is the mans last visit to hospital this year, but, the doc has said that it could happen again.....so we will just wait and see.

Haunted buildings new legislation passed in England

My "other" blog site at www.witchybitz.com has an interesting article submitted to me by an avid reader about new legislation being introduced in England whereby owners of property have to disclose to the buyer if their home has a resident ghost!
How fascinating...
Does that mean that we are admitting that this phenomenon is real?
Please read.
I have had a lot of dreams about money lately...so I am madly buying lotto.
Maybe it's a premonition. I would hate to have been given a sign by spirit and not done anything about it.
Maybe I am just triggering my own needs on a subconscious level during my dreams...but these dreams are so real, so real that they are unbelievable.
I love dreaming.
I have THE BEST adventures!

A new week starts!

This week is another big one for me....doing some real work again. Filling in at the book sale down at Greenhills. It certainly is a sleepy old place. I am dying a slow death from boredom down there!!!!
My older daughter took her doggie, Elvis to Kylie's place today. She was very sad at having to say goodbye. Of course, as usual, I could not be there with her, cause I was working, but the man went with her.
I hope that it all works out - it would be miserable to get a call in a few days to come and get doggie cause things just aren't working out.
I realised this morning that I now have to wear my glasses almost all the time as my eyesight has deteriorated so much. I have to put them on first thing in the morning so that I can watch tv ( which I do when I am having my first coffee of the day).
Thats depressing!!!!!!Oh, I know that heaps of people wear glass and don't whine about it...it was only a few weeks ago when I only need them do read.

It's Friday 13th!

Well, Friday 13th sneeked up on us! I thought about maybe meeting up for coffee, but left it too late!
So am sitting at home eating Lindt chocolate.
The man is at a work smoko and manga freak child is on the computer.
I am very lucky - all is well and the chocolate is good!

Healing Room opening!

Last night's Healing Room opening at the Cottage was brilliant.
I am very sure that much good work will happen in the room.
The highlight of the evening was Leanne's emmotive beely dance performance that drew gasps from the girls. She is so talented.
Also we have another artistic masterpiece hanging in the healing room created by our own Michelle. An etherial mix of purples and reds brings together an image of a goddess in full energetic power swirling the energies of the universe into play!
I wish my brain could think up such a concept!
The howl in the room itself , as simple as it was, was probably one of the most memorable moments for all of us.
Clearing old energies and dispersing negative gremlins was achieved by a spine tingling howl by over 20 people. I had goose bumps!
We drew the raffle and low and behold most of our regulars won the prizes - no, it wasn't rigged!
I had a brilliant night - I feel very proud of what we have all achieved.
The sense of community is real and growing.
Blessings to you all.

Happy Easter!

Too many Easter Eggs...
Too much food!
Too much lazing around making me even more lazier!
Haven't done anything at all today.

Good Friday Ramblings

Today can be thought of as the day of ultimate guilt for all catholics the world over - cause we are to blame for one man's sacrifice over 2000 years ago.
I FEEL Guilty!
I come from an era where we were continually told to be on bended knee to pray for forgiveness for our sins and that Jesus died for us, for me....cause I was a bad, bad thing...and confession was the only cure.
Do you remember confession?
I stopped that horrible activity as soon as I got out of catholic school.
The last time I had to submit to it was just before I married my first husband - it was part of what had to happen before I was allowed to get married in a catholic church. It was humiliating.
And to add insult to injury I chose to spend some time with my mother today - she has the amazing ability of sending me on a guilt trip at any given moment in time by just uttering a few well placed words. She chose to do so today.
All this while I was viewing a story on t.v. about the 'weeping madonnas". Did you not see it?
Oh, sorry, maybe you have a life!
Anyway,
All was going well, madonnas from all over the world were crying tears of rose oil and blood and it was pretty impressive until one priest, actually from Australia, had to pipe up and say that there is only one messiah, and that is JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, that then sizzled my brain.
I thought.
Does that mean that all those people who go to the grottos and churches to ask for a miracle from Mary have to be catholic? Cause obviously only catholics get the key to the pearly gates.Do people from other beliefs even go? I mean, I know when I am desperate I will try anything right?
So, if I was of another belief would I have to sneek in under cover, maybe in false moustache and dark glasses so the others would not recognize me as being non catholic, would I even get a look in from Mary at all, would she say, "Back off you non catholic person you...I am not going to even begin to listen to your prayers".
Why did that have to put in that bigoted statement at all.
It was all so wonderful up to that point.
Things like miracles are so pure, then some ugly people have to get their hands on them shred them to pieces.
Pity.
Happy Good Friday and......... don't feel guilty.

Traffic Jam!

I had the extrodinary experience of being stuck in the biggest traffic jam eva!!!! today as I found myself returning from Maitland at around 3pm and found myself on the same road as every other poor bastard in the Hunter Valley trying to get out of town to their alloted camping/holiday spot BEFORE the traffic got really bad.

Far out....it took over and hour and a half to get from East Maitland to Wallsend. In the process I witnessed 3 car accidents and one frustatrated ambulance that could not get passed the traffic and had to mount the median strip but ended up boxed in from all sides at the next set of traffic lights anyway.

People were driving like possessed beings from another dimension - who gave them licences in the first place?

I left as Aphrodite but arrived as the Hydra!

Diabetic shoes and such

I don't know why people with diabetes need special "ugly" shoes, but there you are!

If anyone knows why, let me know...maybe something happens to their feet when they get diabetes?

I got a new pair of eyes yesterday and have already misplaced them twice... I need a beeper for my glasses so I know where they are at ALL times.

Also..

The dust in my house must have watched "the Secret" while I was out, cause it has learnt how to attract more dust to the house perfectly.

Maybe I should watch it vewy,vewy,cwowswy........shh.

April Fool's Day

It's here again.
Many many moons ago, April 1st was New Years Day.
Some stupid pope decided to change it at some stage......as they did with many other things, like stealing our pagan festivals and making them catholic feast days.
Hmmmm.
I have overcome the SHOCK of having a butt ugly orthopeadic diabetic shoe named after me.
Yes I know...it's telling me somethng.
Not sure what that is, but something about ugly shoes, I'm sure.
Spent the day in Sydney yesterday at Animania with my daughter and three of her school friends.
They were all great I had a brilliant day - we also had to catch buses to Sydney cause of trackwork and it was lovely, other than being bowled over by a 65 year old man who felt that he deserved to board the bus before I did.
I told him that pushing in was very childish - I think he suffers from selective deafness as he didn't seem to hear me.

The ULTIMATE humiliation!

Oh my God!
I actually saw a pair of Homy Ped shoes in the Chemist named "Renata".
Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!
That has taken me over the edge!

Whispers of Lillith

Please go to my new web site www.witchybitz.com
This now replaces the old witchybitz.
It does not replace web-of-wyrd.
It's just an extra.
Enjoy.
And let me know what you think.

New eyes and Chinese herbs!

Oh me oh my - my eyes are very healthy BUT I AM AS BLIND AS A BAT!

Since my last eye test, they have deteriorated even more...because I am getting old.

Shite!

Another two years should see them stabilize for a few years and then they will go down hill again.

I will be wearing glasses as thick as glass coke bottle bottoms by then!

My new pair is way cool though and they are "Transition" lenses....

OhhhAhhhh I hear you say.

Mmmmmmm...

Good thing the glasses where 50% off.

Also my next visit to my accupuncturist sees me feeling much better after some money that was secretly stashed up one of my orifces was swiftly removed...

Much pain was endured with "you're killing me here" and expletives attached at the end of each sentence...

but...

I am feeling slightly better.

At least I can eat most evenings without blowing up like a puffer fish.

My kidney chi is stuffed...

Mmmm....

I am taking so many little herbal pills that I need a shovel and a litre of water to swallow them..

It's all good.

New web site is cooking as we speak.

New Blog is comming!

Yes! That's right.

I am going to have another blog...soon...soon...it's comming.

Why? I haven't thought up a good enough reason yet..

So for now my answer is..

BECAUSE I CAN!

Other than that, today has been about cleaning out accumulated rubbish.

Bits of useless information on smaller bits of paper.

Saw a great show this evening on abc called "Painting Australia" (listening Anchell?).

Three artists are put out in the bush and asked to create a painting in two days.

Very interesting what they come up with.

Playing with my mind....again!

Just when I had settled into day light savings mode - we have changed back!

Ewww!!!!

So I am waking up all over the place and the morning seems to go on forever.

It's going to take me a month to get used to this new setup.

Who the hell do I vote for?

What's going on with these elections?

I had to queue to vote....that's never happened before.

Then I looked at the ballot sheets - one was the size of the dead sea scrolls!

For what!

To put a "1" in a box above the line?

We all know that no one fills in the boxes below the line - please!

Then the partys....had to laugh!

The fishing party?

The shooters party?

The horesrider's party?

The party for no more immigration?

I am going to run next time -

My party is going to be called -

"Let's have a party" Party

One of my policies will be to introduce compulsory holidays on your birthday,on your kid's birthdays and on your grandparents and parents birthdays.

I also intend to bring in compulsory holidays for you if anyone on your street is having a birthday.

Of course this will lead to no GST on chocolate and birthday cakes and decorations.

or

what about the "Knitters" Party? Compulsory knitting needles in every household.

or

the "stamp collectors" Party? A country that licks together - well.....

can't go too wrong there.

What about "I'll give you a dollar if you vote for me" Party.

What a load of shite!

I have lost my will to live!

Fabulously Poor!

Yes ladies - we aren't poor.

We are FABULOUSLY POOR!

Just think of all the stuff you DONT have to worry about:

You dont have to go shopping for new clothes - all the old ones that have been sitting the cupboard for years suddenly look really good.

You don't have to buy new shoes - thongs all of a sudden become extremely glamorous.

The supermarket is a quick trip in and out - you can't buy much with $20!

Aldi and the $2 shop are suddenly THE place to be seen - so chique! Doesn't EVERYONE shop at Aldi now?

Choosing DVD's can be done .just once a week - the discount day. Really, who goes to the movies anymore. So many noisy, grubby people to deal with.

The local fish and chip shop owner now knows your name - now that's service!

The local council pick up days become a day outing to furnish your home and garage.Just pack the kids in the car with a lunch box filled with vegemite sandwiches and off you go around the neighbourhood scouting out the bargains. What excitement! Who needs those dreary holidays overseas. EVERYONE goes to Bali and Fiji. Why bother when you can just head down the road and pick up a slightly used ab cruncher - just great for Christmas ideas for the whole family!

See - isn't it just fabulous?

Also, You don't ever have to chuck anything out ever again.

Why buy new stuff if the old piece of shit is still working?

So what that the fridge freezes everthing? You don't have to buy a freezer!

So what if the TV only gets one channel? The others are crap anyway.

So what if the car has rust holes the size of dinner plates on the bonnet? Nothing a large tin of putty and a can of spray paint can't fix!

Stop complaining and realise that really, you have nothing to worry about -

Cause you have nothing!

Ah....

Fabulously poor....

Brilliant!

Monday bloody Monday!

Well I had a fabulous day today. Much learning and centering was done.
I did my reiki masters today - something that I have had on my 'to do' list for a long time.

In the mean time, my beautiful Bee saw life unravel before her eyes.
My heart goes out to you Bee.
It must be truely a horrible time for you.

Mary Raihn has gone out on a limb and is re connecting.
How great is that!

Mary Anchell is painting up a storm and forgetting to go to art school.
Ha Ha..I would have loved to have gone to the gallery with you on Saturday.

Mary Jacquie is cleaning.... ( I know, it's by default, you had nothing better to do)

Mary Tesah is getting over Japanese weekend..Ah..so..

Mary Kathleen, I miss you.

Mary Jewell has had a passing in her family...prayers and blessings to a grand old lady.

Mary Cyndy has a naked headed child in the house.

Mary Jen is recovering from the birthday party weekend from hell.

Mary Kristy is being a mum, a wife, a nurse, a carer, a cook, and anything else she can be in her sleepless spare time.

And life goes on.

Have I missed someone? Fill me in.

What a grand day!

Got this Brett Whiteley print from the Art Gallery for the man today.

I love his work.

The best thing about this one is that in the lower right hand corner there is a phrase that says...

"a pointless painting needs looking at for a long time in order to think about it"

Hey..Anchell....Brett truely did not conform.

He did go to art school but I am sure that his teachers would have critisized his work too -he started out being pretty straight but his best work was later on when he allowed himself to be free albiet full of alchohol and drugs.

I went to his studio in Sydney many years ago, with the man and Aleks when she was only about 3 or 4.

That was a grand experience.

I had a ball today.

The Art gallery is a place I need to experience more often.

They had a section with buddahs from India and Asia. One piece, was a buddah carved from wood -very old. If you looked at it for long enough, it looked like it was breathing.

I was blown away.

Then we went to bookshops and cakeshops and sushi train, where we saw Guy Sebastian.

It was a very good day.

Just one of those days!

It's been one of those days, one of those weeks, when you feel strung out, tired and all over the place.
You know the feeling!!

I have had sadness - due to the loss of a fine friend and colleague of my husbands who passed from cancer.
I have had health "issues" making me tired and foggy in the head.
I have had a "possessed woman" calling me up at 11.45 at night. (Yes - REALLY possessed! Like spirit possessed!!!!!!!!!)
I have been overlooked, yet again, for something that should have come my way - but did'nt.

I am a bit over it, actually.

It's days like these that show me just how fragile I still am after all that has happened in our family over the past few months. Emotions are still near the surface.
Life steam rolls on, regardless of what we want.

Am going to Sydney tomorrow with Aleks and Shann and we will be "Turning Japanese".
We are going to the Tezuka exhibition at the Art Gallery ( I might sneek off to see the Archibald's) then we are doing sushi, or something just as Japanesey, and then hitting the shops before heading home.
Should be fun.
If I fall asleep ......just prod me.

More Sad News.

We found out this morning that a friend of my husband's from work died last night from cancer. He was diagnosed with bowel cancer and had major surgery to save his life last year. He had spent weeks in hospital and it took ages for him to stabilize and get some quality of life back.
But he did it and was actually doing quite well, having a positive outlook on life and enjoying himself as much as he could.
I guess we did not know just how tough it could get for him. He always had a smile and did not complain.
My husband spoke to a member of the family today and was told that his friend had had enough - he deteriorated very quickly over the last week and then it was over.
Very sad. He was a good guy. A hard working guy. A family man.

Also, I mention the old fellow that was killed by some scumbag in Union street yesterday.
This old fellow ran a little shop just opposite the Newcastle Worker's club for over 50 years.
He was a Newcastle icon. He was 87 years old for god sake.
I actually walked into his shop a few weeks ago to buy a bottle of milk and he struck me as an amazingly lovely fellow. He had, what must have been the oldest cash register in Newcastle, still in operation on his front counter and very proud of it indeed.
I spoke to him about the register, telling him that I remember similar ones from my baby years.
I am saddened by his death - his shop was his life. His service to the people of Cook's Hill was well known.
Some moron needing quick cash for a fix ended his time on earth prematurely and it makes me angry that the perpretrator obviously had no concern for anything or anyone that got in his/her way.

To these two men I send my prayers - to their families and friends, who will miss them and cherish their memories I send my sympathy.
RIP.

Joke of the Day!

A litle girl walks into her parents bathroom and notices for the first time her fathers nakedness.

Immediately she is curious. He has equipment that she does'nt.She asks, "What are those round hanging things there daddy?"

Proudly he replies,"Those sweetheart, are the apples of life.Without them we would not be here!"

Puzzled, she seeks out her mummy and tells her what daddy has just said. Mummy replies, "Did daddy say anything about the dead branch they're hanging from?"

7th Heaven

If this is "being in 7th heaven" - what are the other six like?
How DO you choose?
And, mind you, this is just one cake shop - there are more next door and just around the next corner, and down the street etc, etc.
Anyone wanting to go to Melbourne?

World Wide Alert ! Expando stomach ready to Burst!

Oh Lordy! I know I will be back to eating normally tomorrow - I promise.
At the moment I have to lean to one side when I sit, as it is the most comfortable position I can achieve.
Am back home.
Back to reality.
Had trouble connecting to internet at the "Hole in the Wall" Motel, so could not post.
We had breakfast yesterday at one of the famous Italian eateries on Lygon street which was great. Much good quality cappucino followed by gelatos.
We also went to St. Kilda and took in the International Motor Show where I spied the newest Volvo ( which was soooo nice! ).
We went to see Professor Givemeallyourmoney (otherwise known as Professor Costello - the man's surgeon) and took him some very nice red wine and his nurses and staff got chocolates and cards as gifts of appreciation for all of their care and concern during the man's stay in hospital and treatment.
The Professor was genuinely thrilled with his gift, saying that it was really a touching thing to do.
His staff were also extremely thankful and it was, to us, a highlight of the whole trip - to be able to show our gratefulness.
We all exchanged big emotional hugs and kisses.
I thought, how many times do you get to kiss and hug a man who is known the world over for his expertise in a specific surgical practice and who has just saved your partner's life?
As much as I like the man, I told the Professor that I hoped that I would never have to see him again, but I was very, very glad that our paths had crossed in this life time.
An angelic intervention for sure!
The man is well, clean bill of health given!!!!
Yippee....that deserves another piece of cake!
Or two.....We DID stock up before we left.

Expando Stomach Returns!

Here I am at the "Hole in the Wall" Motel Swanston Street Melbourne with my famous expando stomach in action!
Getting up pre dawn was a monster and I have not recovered.
We hit Melbourne way too early to get into our room so we left our bags at reception ( I have never, ever seen such a small reception area in a hotel in all my life! ) and we went down the street to enjoy a full hot breakfast with bacon, eggs, toast, hash brown and grilled tomato with a wicked cappucinno for under $10.
We decided to go to the Zoo and caught the tram. There ,we sweltered in the humidity and heat and walked around seeing all the animals for hours till we were spent! Some really great exhibits including the elephants and oraguntans.
This was massive for the man, who hasn't had such a 'full on' day since his operation last year!
On the way back we stopped at the Queen Victoria Markets for our promised kransky and sauerkraut roll followed by almond croissant and purchased Polish donuts to take back to the hotel.
We briefly stopped at 'Minotaur" for the Anime freak to get her fix and spend some of our money. She was a happy girl.
Our accommodation is, let's say..understated...maybe that's the wrong word. Probably "basic as" would suit it better.
The rooms are ok with the bathroom being circa 1950. The hand basin is duck egg blue with a white bath tub being off set by stylish pink and white tiling..mmmm.
Our "complimentary breakfast" consists of six pieces of white bread wrapped in plastic wrap with one strawberry jam and one orange marmalade tiny spread with a vegemite one thrown in for good measure.
We have a little tea and coffee and that's it.
Gosh..I feel full already - thank God we bought those Polish Donuts.
Tonight we take it easy for tomorrow is another eating day!

Thursday, March 01, 2007

Off to Melbourne!

Tomorrow morning, at sparrow's fart, we will be heading for the airport to fly to Melbourne.
Yay!!!!!
Cannot wait!
The man needs to see his specialist and we have an appoinment scheduled for Monday.

Other than that, the plan is :
Arrive in Melbourne at 7.30 am.
Head directly to nearest cake shop for breakfast.
Check into hotel.
Scan the horizon for a Greek cake shop (simply the best - I promise to post a photo!)
Queen Victoria Markets for kransky and sauerkraut rolls followed by an almond croissant for lunch.
Maybe some walking.
Shopping and eating more cake.
etc, etc,etc.
Oh - this should be good.

We do plan to go to the Zoo and maybe fit in an Art Gallery ( hope there is a cake shop nearby)
and my daughter is meeting a friend she has been speaking to over the internet and they will go to an Anima / Manga Art store for hours of oohhing and ahhhing!
Might even head to "The Spellbox" which is a cool witchy store right in the centre of the CBD and get a reading done.
Am taking the old lap top so will keep you informed on our progress. (BURP)

You haven't seen this one!

Well blog land is next to comatose lately - are we all over it?

Or are we leading busy lives?

Well, I saw the most intriguing and exciting dvd this afternoon that I have ever seen in my whole life.

It was the most expensive dvd I have ever purchased also!

It was the dvd of the man's prostate operation!

Yes....I can hear you from here. We requested the dvd of the operation and this afternoon I sat down, with the man, totally glued to the tv set and watched him being sliced, cauterised, snipped, sewn all from within the abdominal cavity!

Mmmmmmmm.

Did I have lunch?

No.

But it was simply amazing.

Especially the part where the robotic tools slip in a little scoop thingy that looks like a fishing net, open it, plop in the cut prostate, close the scoopy thing up and remove it through the tube that is stuck in just above the man's belly button.

Here, I present this frozen moment in time of just that- for your astonishment.
Remember, this is happening inside the abdominal cavity which has been inflated with gas to give the surgeon space. There were six incision holes made all together to allow for instuments, which were normally three at a time ( one sucky thingy, and two cutting and caterising thingys) and a camera. So you are seeing what the surgeon was seeing while he was sitting at his machine on the other side of room.
So cool eh!!!

Three Cheers for Al Gore!

Hip, Hip, Hooray!
Al Gore has won an Oscar for his documentary "An Inconvenient Truth".
I believe that everyone should see this documentary - therefore we will be showing it at Rose Cottage on Wednesday evening March 28th as part of our "Around the Cauldron" evening.

Another great event that is being started up is the "Lights Out Australia" campaign - you can go to www.cooltheglobe.com for more details, but in short, we are being encouraged to turn off all lights that are not needed on the evening of the first Wednesday of every month.

HOW BRILLIANT!!!
Many of the big companies in Australia are going to do it- thus changing the skyline in our big cities, such as inner Sydney CBD for even just a few hours.

Is this achievable at the cottage on a Wednesday night during our meeting?
Should we give it a go.
First night is 7th March at 7pm ( I think that is the time!)

Healing Picture!

This beautiful painting now hangs in our bedroom. We just got it back from the framers last week.

It is a painting done by Michelle, one of the Marys, that the man requested when he found out he had cancer ( which he no longer has and will never have again thank you very much!)

It was done as a healing painting for him.

It has taken some time for us to get it framed but now it is done and it looks sensational.

Thankyou Michelle.

Every time I will look at it, it will remind me of what we have been through and of how lucky we are.

And yes, our walls ARE purple in the bedroom - doesn't it just go perfectly!

Michelle holds art classes at the cottage on the last Sunday of each month. Maybe if you come along, she can teach you to make stunning pieces like this too!

I am sitting here enjoying a "Fluffy Duck" while posting this entry.

That would take some of you back.

The others are too young to even know what a fluffy duck is!

When was the last time YOU had a Fluffy Duck eh!

I am feeling luckier by the minute!

Got a headache yet?

I am sure we all went home with a headache last night after group at Rose Cottage.

We got a taste of "The Secret" and the theories of the laws of attraction.

Some interesting comments and issues came up.

I encourage everyone to keep trying - try one thing today and see how it goes for you.

It will work- I think the strangest thing is that you have to get over the habit of feeling crap all the time. It is a new experience for many of us to actually feel happy for more that a few minutes at a time.

How bizarre that we are often more happy feeling sad ( cause it is a normal state of being) than happy (which for many of us is an abnormal state of being).

I am encouraging good luck into my life - I am now a good luck magnet!

SO there....

I am encouraging my belief that I don't know how this is going to happen but it just IS.

- what are YOU doing?

Give it a go - you have nothing to lose!

"Lucky" Renata.

Ouch!

Oh yes.just when you thought it was safe to go back to the hospital to have your catheter removed, in walks THE NURSE FROM HELL!!!!!

Firztly we will put ze clampf on.Ya!

Mmmmm.Ok.

Then we vill give you ze needle in your bum.It vill be painful.Ya!

Mmmmmm.Ok.

Then we vill RIP ZE CATHETER OUT OF YOUR BODY WITH NO FORWARNING THAT IT WILL FEEL LIKE YOU ARE HAVING YOUR GUTS PULLED OUT THROUGH YOUR PENIS!!!!!YA!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Why did the man look so white when he walked back into the room where I had been waiting?

FOR GOOD REASON I Guess!

OUCH!

Then he had to pee three times, just to chech that his bladder still worked. ( there was a worry that the nurse from hell had pulled that out along with the catheter).

So there we were hour after hour, the man drinking litre upon litre of liquid with his bladder going on strike saying, Uh Uh baby...I ain't lettin anything go here...

After two hours and the contents of Chitchester Dam sitting in the man's bladder, we had success number one.

Half and hour later it was success number two.

Twenty minutes later we had success number three!

Then it was home at last.

Another Chivas Regal night ahead methinks!

Good News!

Just before the man went into hospital to have his operation last week we went across the road to the clinic to give a blood sample for his PSA test ( Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test: a blood test which can measure levels of a protein called prostate specific antigen.)
This little test tells us if he has any signs of abnormal, potentially cancerous, cells in his blood stream or not.
This is not fun to wait for.
This shit is serious stuff.
But, today the results came back with levels that were undetectable - WHICH IS VERY GOOD DAMN NEWS!!!!
I could wipe the sweat off my brow once again.
Also received a request to scoot down to the bottle shop ( why do they call it a bottle shop?) to buy a celebratory bottle of Chivas Regal for the man.
Which I dutifully did.
He deserves it!
Tomorrow the catheter comes out and he may regain the ability to sit still for more than 5 minutes at a time without being in pain.
Life goes on- although there are times, such as these now, where all you can do is drift through.

It's Wellness NOT Illness!

From now on I will be looking at my man's state of health as his "state of wellness" and not "illness".
I think that is the far more positive way to go.
Having a catheter in is not a fun time, but the man is coping with this little hiccup.
Just a few more days and it will be removed, just in time for his birthday which is next Wednesday.

It's damn HOT again and I have woken up from another deep sleep that requires two cups of proper coffee to start my pulse.
I don't know where I have been going lately in my dreams - I wish I could remember how much fun I must have been having, cause I certainly wake up feeling like I have a hangover!

Aleks is having another Japanese lesson this morning and our weekend will be quiet.
I will ATTEMPT to do some cleaning (URGHHH!).
Why do we accumulate little pieces of paper with useless pieces of information on them, that just might be needed one day, so you keep them, just in case....

I have a reservation for tonight!

Gee the receptionist at the hospital had NO sense of humor!

When we walked in this afternoon and said that we had a reservation for accommodation for one night for the spa suite, queen size bed, including breakfast please, she was not impressed..

Well..

We were taken up to the ward and weren't there for more than 20 minutes when theatre staff came to collect the man - but he had not been officially admitted yet! So, all hell broke loose, as one nurse started filling out forms while another got him to change and another fixed the bed ready for him the be wheeled to theatre! Then they took off so fast, I had to RUN after them....

The obligatory question of, "Can you tell me what proceedure you are having done" by the theatre nurse got the response of " A penis extention" from the man..

Ask a silly question?

That DID get a laugh..

But, all is well.

The man is now much better, thank you.

It could have been much worse, with one very sick person having to be admitted to the John for emergency surgery if we had not caught it in time.

So ALL IS WELL.
Again...some respite from worry.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well, I hope you guys are getting a better Valentine's Day than I have had!

The man had to pay an emergency visit to his urology specialist today only to be told that he requires surgery for a urological problem which has to be done asap....yep...tomorrow!

Now, we could wait and get it for free at the John Hunter - but the man cannot wait!!!!!

So Dr.Givemeallyourmoney suggested the private hospital which can take him tomorrow.

Ah yes.....I can feel the money rapidly draining out of our bank account yet again as well as the blood draining out of my body.

The man is thrilled..NOT!

So this then led to our romantic lunch out together...AT CHARLESTOWN SQUARE FOOD COURT- cause our idea of actually having a "nice" lunch had just blown out of the water.

Mmmmmmm.

The man said that he had never felt "so effluent".

I told him that he "already was effluent"....

Yep a good day had by all.

Oh well...it could always be worse.

Am I 100% Accurate?

What's the go?
I have had 4 enquiries lately for a psychic reading and all have asked me whether I am 100% accurate!
Hell no - and I would never say so even if I thought I was.
How egotistical would I be to think that I can get it right all the time!

It makes me wonder whether these people look for someone who will tell them that, yes, they are 100% accurate. Then what happens when what was predicted does not come true?

As a member of the Australian Psychics Association I abide by their code of conduct as a professional reader, and we are told, "Do not state that you can give readings that are 100% accurate."
There must be readers out there that do.

There are so many variables.
I may tell someone something that I see happening in the near future for them, but I can be most assured that it will eventuate usually ONLY IF THEY CHANGE NOTHING....if they change something because of what has been said during a reading wouldn't that also effect the outcome?
Does that then make my initial reading inaccurate?
Mmmmmmm.
100% accurate - For the record, no I'm not.But I can live with that.

A new week of infinate possibilities!

As the new week begins, I reflect back on the week that was, that saw me reaching major highs and lows - emotionally and physically.

Talk about a rollercoaster ride!

Why is it so - when you try so hard for things to be smooth and right, that they can turn out so skewed and wrong?

I have still much to learn about focusing on the positive and maifesting more of it...I am still stumbling.

I bought a new book today - " The Secrets of Life" by Stuart Wilde.

Can't wait to get into it!

Maybe it will give me some more clues.

I remember watching the first few minutes of "Meduim" this week where Alison says,"Life is like a multiple choice quiz".

You ARE continually needing to pick between A - B - C or D and hoping that you have made the right choice.

Is there a crystal in that water?

After getting inspired by our crystal talk on Wednesday night I put a rose quartz in my daughter's water bottle that she takes to school.
She asked why?
So I told her about the properties of crystals in general, that water is such an excellent conductor and that the rose quartz is a loving stone and that the piece in the bottle held all my love for her in it...Awwwwww!!!!
So as she drank during the day, she would feel my love being with her..yet again....Awwwwww!!!!
I also need to drink more water, under doctor's request as, I have known that I have always had low blood pressure, but was not aware just how low it was till I had it measured a few times in one week due to some small problems that had occurred recently.
Doc said that drinking water would help me feel better - I have always felt foggy headed and lethargic, especially on rising - now I totally understand why!
One good piece of news is that because my heart beats less often per minute than the average person's it will last longer too!

Hello from Capt.Creator!

Hello Earthlings.....
All this creating stuff has given me a bit of a headache! I must remember that I am a middle aged super heroine..and take it easy.
Or at least sit down and have a cuppa between creations!
This is hard work.
Have you ever tried to be totally positive about your WHOLE day no matter what?
Far our brussel sprout! (yes you!)
I must spend more time contemplating a quote from Carl Jung which states,
"What you resist - persists".
Therefore, the more I try not to get old...the older I get!mmmmmm
At this rate I should be 95 by the end of the week..

I am the creator of my Universe, and I choose to have a decent coffee shop on each corner,an easily accessible parking spot wherever I go, no washing dishes or laundry ( ever ) and a stack of friends. That will do for starters.

I have also just spent $59 on a chiropractic pillow that promises a good night's sleep.
It better...or this little Creator will be mighty pissed!
Till next time...
Capt signing off.

Remember - Save the Planet! If you wreck it, then the next closest one is Mars and we all know what a shit hole that is!

Sunday, February 04, 2007

Hello from the creator!

I am the creator of my Universe!
Yes I am!
I am creating a Mediumship Circle tonight at the Cottage and I am well pleased!
To all those other "Creators" out there...
What are YOU creating today?
I challenge you all to create ONE thing..
just one..
something new..
TODAY!!
What's it going to be?
..........................I'm waiting!

P.S.That's me in my Capt Creator outfit!
You like?

What a week!

It has been a full week for me - I have been at the Cottage almost every day this week....wow.
We had a working bee there yesterday and scrubbed the placed from floor to ceiling. It sparkles - I want to sincerely thank Deb, Leanne, Michelle and Gloria for turning up and rolling up their sleeves. The ladies worked really hard, but it was worth it to see the Cottage clean and tidy.I AM sore today and I image that they are too!
I watched "the Secret" again last night on TV. It definately is a movie that needs to be seen a few times to get the message.
My favorite phrase from the whole movie is, " I am the Creator of my Universe".That's a pretty cool statement.
Today, I am hoping to buy a T.V. and dvd for the Cottage. There is a special deal I am chasing and with the ok to purchase having been made - I am hoping that the deal will still be available.

Vertigo.

Wow...I really DO have to be careful about what I talk about ( and therefore manifest ).Yesterday I mentioned how life was so busy and I did not have time to slow down...well today I was GIVEN the time.
Last night I had an attack of vertigo.
Anyone who gets this will know that the pain is so intense that you wish you were dead.
Unfortunately, I was also in Sydney attending an end of season function with Calendar Club at the same time.
Not pretty to be screaming in the back of a car in the car park in a different city while waiting for the ambulance to arrive!
So, I then spent 4 hours in emergency at Royal Price Alfred Hospital waiting for the symptoms to subside getting IV fluids and injections.
My friends, who I had traveled with, also waited.
It was literally a miracle that I got to a state where I could come home.
I thought that I might have to stay in hospital all night.
So today, I am very foggy and feel quite dazed, so I have been forced to slow down - and forgive me tonight at ritual.
Not sure how I will be by then.
But there you go....watch what you talk about.

Life waits for no man.

I have taken a short break from writing our Lammas ritual for tomorrow night for the Cottage" to contemplate, for a moment, (cause contemplation can give you a headache)just how life rolls on regardless of what is going on.
When the man was told he had cancer last year, it was my darkest time. I needed the world to stop spinning, or at least slow down, so I could "get a grip", but it didn't. Actually, the days steam rolled along at break neck speed as if to say,
"Hurry up...make some choices, do something, work it out and do it now!"
It's been a week since Calendar Club finished and I have not had time to breath - I have swung into Cottage life and my days are once again filled to overflowing.
I was supposed to have time to think....but I haven't.
So it's time to go forward and not back.
Yes, this IS Good.
Tiring, but good.
And I am very lucky - all is well.

School starts!

Today was D-Day!My baby started High school!
Yes...she was very nervous, but when we got there we immediately found her friend and from then on she was fine.
I couldn't wait for her to get home to hear about her day.
She liked it - it was a whole new system.
Most impressive event? She got a locker at school.
I am very happy for her.
I hope she still likes it in a week's time.
It is still sooo hot isn't it.
I can't function in weather like this.
Actually, I am finding it hard to adjust to the change now that I am not doing Calendar Club.
I feel I should be doing something...but I don't know what?
Did a Goddess Circle at the Cottage last night with Leanne - she was really good!
I recommend it.It should be a fun group!

Two days before High School!

Our baby girl is starting High School this Tuesday.Wow!
We asked her today if there was anything that she would like to do on her last days of "freedom".We thought that she might want to go out somewhere, see a movie, go for a drive to Nelson Bay, etc...but no, it was "more internet time" and "let's go to Graphic Action" ( which is a store in town specialising in Manga and graphic art).
Yes...we have a serious computer geek in our midsts.
I suppose it IS my fault. As the man pointed out, I used to sit her on my lap, cause she was too small to sit at the computer on her own, when she first started. How old was she? Four or five I think.
She does look so grown up in her new uniform. Let's hope that she actually learns to do some study this year....dont worry Aleks I will MAKE sure that you study!

My mother in law fell over on Saturday night while going to the toilet just before midnight and managed to break her foot in three places. She had an operation yesterday and had plates put in and is now recovering. We went to see her yesterday at the John. She is a private patient - yet there were no private beds available so she was in a room with three other people. When the man asked whether she would be transferred at some stage to a private room, he was told that probably not.So much for paying for private health care.We walked into a room chockers full of people visiting the other patients and mum in law was still groggy and fuzzy having just had the op.How delightful.I would really appreciated my privacy at that point, especially if I was going to hurl or was yelling in pain or something - but no, lets just pop you into a room with another 20 people so that you can hurl on public display!

Another week begins!

"An Inconvenient Truth"

Isn't this the most amazing picture ever taken?

I spent the afternoon of Australia Day ( Happy Australia Day everyone!!)watching Al Gore's doco called "An Inconvenient Truth".
I thoroughly endorse watching this fascinating movie.
Al Gore has been on his quest to educate us on the issues of global warming for over 20 years!I certainly did not know that.I wonder what the world would be like if he HAD won the last election? Mmmmm....
A president who is an environmentalist, and who knows what he is talking about!
What a shame, it didn't happen.

PLease get yourself a copy of this dvd ( I now have one ) and watch it. Educate yourself.Make yourself aware and pass it on to your friends.
By the way...it's bloody hot outside, isn't it?
Off to see the fireworks tonight.

"Rose Cottage" Neopagans

"Rose Cottage" Neopagan Community.
Well, I have been talking to our intrepid leader about a small change of name for our group for the new year.
It has been approved by Lisa, but I will definitely be running it past the girls and boys tonight for a general rating and see what people think.
It broadens our spectrum of involvement and makes us more than just pagans, witches, etc..

If you look at the explanation of the word "neopagan" from wikipedia it is as follows,
The term "Neopagan" is used by academics and adherents alike to denote Pagan traditions which are largely modern in origin, or which are conceived as reconstructions, continuations or revivals of ancient practices. While "pagan" (lowercase) is still used by many to denote an irreligious person, adherents of modern Pagan and Neopagan religions capitalize these words because, in these cases, the words are being used to describe a religion, or members of a religion, "in the same way as one would describe a 'Christian' or a 'Jew'."[2]

"Neopagans" provides a means of distinguishing between historical Pagans of ancient cultures and the adherents of modern religious movements. The category of religions known as "Neopagan" includes Wicca, Non-Wiccan Religious Witchcraft, Neo-druid faiths, and many others.[4]
So what do we all think?
Are we ready for this change?

What did I do today?

Could not sleep in - it was too darn hot!
Went to the toilet....many, many times.
Had buckets of water and coke.
Went to the toilet even more.
Saw my doctor.
Took my daughter to McDonalds.
Went to Centrelink with the man.
Spent hours in the garage doing "things" with calendars.
Spent more hours doing accounting for said calendars.
Phew.....it's 11.30 and I am on the computer blogging.
It's all good.
So great to be home!

Hip! Hip! Hooray!!!

It has finally come..the last day.
Oh my goodness.I can hardly believe it. Tomorrow I am at home. Tomorrow I can drink as much water as I want and go to the toilet whenever I want.
Yes!
My last day consisted of being spat upon from the upstairs balcony and watching Mr.Sunshine walk back and forth itching to get close, but not crossing the line.
Oh what fun...
I was blessed with a visit from my friend Sandy, who stopped and had morning tea with me.
I then removed everything that I could, cut all the cable ties that were connecting the stand and holding it together and generally got ready for the crew to arrive at 4 to close down and remove the fixtures.
Wouldn't you know it - some stupid woman still wandered around at 5 minutes past four thinking she could take up more of my precious time and maybe buy a calendar - Ha! Was she wrong or what!
Lady - I am closed.
Can you not see that?
I am just looking she says.
No.no looking. No more looking.
Go away!
Ah..freedom. I can just remember what it felt like.
It has been 96 days.
Now it's time to catch up with the rest of my life and to finally process some of the experiences that I have placed on hold for the last two months.
Some sorting to do..
So here I go down the rabbit hole...

Friday, January 19, 2007

RIP Calendar Club!

2 more days and it's over for...well...most probably for another year.

I have had a bad headache for about 48 hours now and every bone in my body aches. I think I am ready.....to.....finish......now.

Can I go home please?

Single digits at last!

Oh Happy days....
I am down to single digits...nine days to go...woo hoo!!!
I think that it is finally slowing down now - toady sales were slow and I had a very quiet and relaxed day, even though I couldn't go to the toilet all day.
It is sooo exciting to know that it won't be long now and I will be FREE!
It will be great to get back into readings and Rose Cottage stuff.
Many changes to come this year, especially in my life - but I need time to think them through and till now I have not had time to do so.
Some things to consider and reconsider..but it's all too easy cause all you have to do is make a decision.
I miss reading books as well.
I have not had time to do so.
And then there's mother - I will have time to do so.

Last Days...

The infamous Khyber Pass - where they can stick their calendars!!!!

Tonight I got the man to print out some "last days" signs for me to put up at the calendar stand...oooohhh, so close I can almost believe it to be real.
Yeh, yeh, I know...I have two weeks left, but on Monday I go to 75% off and I want every bastard that walks past to buy a freaking calendar!!!
Considering that I just got another $65,000 worth of stock last Thursday and I will be getting another $45,000 worth 4 days before I close!
Yep, go figure!
Why am I getting this now?
Because it means that the company does not have to do the dirty work at the end of the sales season...us stupid operators will do it and the worst is....we do it for FREE!!!!!
Ewwww.
I so hate this part of the season.
It makes the end bitter sweet.
It just makes me bitter.
And any day now...I will say "I will never do this again."
"They can stick it up their khyber pass."
Oh well.
Such is life. I need to shut up and just get on with it.
This time next month I will be sitting enjoying a coffee with the Mary's.

Did anyone buy a calendar BEFORE Xmas????

Hey....what's going on?
Did anyone buy a calendar BEFORE Christmas? I thought that everyone had one by now.
I WAS WRONG!
Far out - how much can people buy?
I have served over 500 customers in the last two days, each one buying one, two, even three calendars.
It's crazy.
I have nothing left. But, just when you thought that I would run out..I am just about to get another load of calendars in a day or so. YAY....(not).
And guess what...next week, we are selling at 75% off. This is when people take everything that isn't tied down.
They are even buying my tractor ( yes...tractor) calendars.
Mmmmmmmmm..

And all the tight arse poodle owners ( this DOES NOT include you Raihn - you were one of my best customers, along with Mary Ankle )have come in over the last two days searching for a poodle calendar at half price cause they were too tight to get one at full price - and guess what? I haven't got any!!!Ha!
Serves them right.
I have had over twelve requests....

What am I going to do with myself when calendars sales are over?
I wonder?
Will have to find something new to bitch about won't I?

P.S.Mary of the many now paid for laybys..don't forget you are on tomorrow.
Bring long sharp stick please.
And metal tipped boots.
